CloudWay congratulates Alexander Holmeset on his MVP Award

On December 1st, our colleague Alexander Holmeset got an exciting email from Microsoft stating he has been awarded Microsoft Most Valuable Professional for Office Apps and Services for 2019-2020. This is a huge achievement for Alexander that has been truly committed to the community for a long time now. We are really proud to have provided an environment where he got the opportunity to dive into new technology and then share that to the community through forum posts, blog posts, and conference talks. Check out our content library for some of his talks.

We asked him three questions on becoming an MVP

  1. What has motivated you to put in the effort required to be an MVP?
    • I get motivated by seeing that people have use for what I write and talk about. Getting feedback after a talk/session how they are going to implement what I showed them give me the motivation to continue sharing with the community.
  2. What has been the most important for you in this journey?
    • I have found out that by sharing and engaging with the community, I learn the content a lot better. I have gained a lot of experience in a short time frame.
  3. Any first thoughts on what being an MVP would mean for you professionally?
    • I will get more deep knowledge and early access about the technology I work with, and therefore be on edge and in front with what\’s new and coming. Of course, having the MVP title on your resume helps to show customers that you are dedicated to what you do for a living. The cool thing now, is that I work in a company where all employees are MVP\’s.

We are truly honored to work with a resourceful individual such as Alexander and are looking forward to seeing more community content. Alexander blogged about his journey on becoming MVP at his blog, check it out: https://alexholmeset.blog/2018/12/08/my-journey-on-becoming-a-mvp/
